Finally, the time has come! I found lead guitarist to my music project called Nexum (you will hear us... in undefined future ;P) so I have lots and lots of afflation. Being not only a bass player but also a graphic and lyrics writer is really good experience - I have been dreaming about it. All I need now is to find drummer, singer, second guitarist and keyboardist. It's so easy... ^^'

All right. Some words about picture. In my childhood* I used to have quiet place where I could rest. It was in oakwood and since this time I have been dreaming about having "my own place in forest". So, I made a picture which presents "this place" and now I'm composing calm, peaceful song about this... shelter. And it's all.

/* Ok, ok, I know... I'm still a child (;

As always, I used some textures from CA magazine.

I mixed three textures - in this artwork I used grunge and nature textures. I put them on separate layer, usually on Multiply or Overlay blending type. And finally, I erase framgents (by using layers' masks) that I don't need. It's all ;)
I hope you'll understand me ^^' I use Polish version of GIMP so I don't know if my translations of tools' names are good.

I understood most of it. I don't know the filters that you are talking about. I know about masks, but I haven't learned how to use them just yet. Thanks for explaining to me. I use Photoshop so some of the lingo is going to be different.

You can find lots of tutorials about masks in Internet, they're not hard to use ;)
Some filters which are in GIMP are unavailable in Photoshop (and "vice versa"), maybe PS doesn't have them.
